The London College Of Osteopathic Medicine received a presentation by Kevin Jones on the use of shockwaves for the treatment of Myofascia Paon Syndrome amongst other indications treated at the College. Following the lecture, a thoroughly enjoyable practical session was held on how to use the newly purchased Piezowave 2 unit which allowed all the students to obtain some practice under the supervision and guide of Kevin Jones.
Dr James Inklebarker stated
" Thanks again for your useful training yesterday. Feedback from all attendees was excellent. After several years of clinical MOD experience with pressure wave generators, I had had some familiarity with the indications and limitations of these types of machines in the management of musculoskeletal conditions. A review of the literature indicated advanced efficacy of piezoelectric shock wave technologies. Already familiar with Richard Wolf spinal RF and endoscopic quality, I was looking for a device that would both advance our clinic's acute and chronic MSK services, and complement our ongoing research on back pain management. The units features of quietness, enhanced patient comfort, ease of use, and lower maintenance costs also influenced the final choice.
